Greek or Egyptian culture in Malaysia

This is the Ipoh Town Hall building in Ipoh, Perak. This building was designed and built with the Greek or Roman columns architecture style. The columns design on the second floor is obviously similar to the Ionic, one of the orders of Greek architecture. This design is used to emphasize the classical style of the building and to give people an elegant visual impact. Besides, the Ionic style of columns seems to be more stable and solid for supporting, it also makes the building looks demure when matched up with the white colour paint.
This is the HSBC bank which located in Ipoh, Perak and it is the oldest bank in Ipoh. From the photo, we could see that there are many columns built on the second floor of the building. Each column was designed according to the Corinthian order of the Greek architecture. Same principle used with the previous building, the Corinthian style caused the visual impact of elegant, stable and demure towards the building. Due to the visual impact of the building design, it would probably give the people a good impression to save their money or invest to the bank.

This is the picture of the police station in Sri Damansara, Selangor. The columns of the police station is the kitsch of the Greek architecture which is similar to the Doric design. The Doric design show the simple column with no other carves on the top. Besides, the columns is painted in white colors which represents on purity and can represent the good image of the policemen.
This image shows one of the shops in SS2, Petaling Jaya with the column design that is kitsch with the Greek architecture culture on it. The column is built in Doric design as well. Same with the previous picture, it does not have any complicated decoration on the top and it is just simple and direct design. It had followed the Western Greece architecture culture.

The picture above shows the terrace house in Kuala Lumpur which applied the kitch concept on it. The columns of the terrace house are designed in the Doric design which is similar to the Greek architecture culture. The columns are only built with two different layers on top and also painted in white and brown colors to emphasize the column design.
These pictures are showing the building with the columns that similar to the Greek architecture culture: Doric, Ionic and Corinthian design. All these building are built in Malaysia area which is kitsch. Kitsch is a form of imitate that copy the extant style or design of art which having the recognize value on it. Malaysia had imitate the architecture culture of Greek and apply it on the building designs in Malaysia.
